OIMM Pathway Programs
OIMM's four-week Summer Scholars Program includes a cadaver demonstration, campus tour, research opportunities, community service, career exploration and more. It's open to students across the St. Louis region who are entering grades 10 through 12.
OIMM's eight-week Summer Undergraduate Research Program includes opportunities to develop research skills, connect with SLU students and faculty, and explore pursuing an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. at the School of Medicine. It's open to rising sophomore, junior and senior undergraduate students.
Additional Pathway Programs
AIMS is a youth community outreach program that teaches human anatomy, medicine, health education and wellness to students in grade school through high school. Programs include cadaver demonstrations, hands-on dissections, summer workshops and more.
Rising high school seniors can participate in this six-week, competitive summer program focusing on biomedical research in pediatric and adult medicine. They'll get to prepare an abstract, work with mentors, and present at lab meetings and a departmental research colloquium.
The SLU Medical Scholars Program is an early-assurance program that offers undergraduate students an exclusive experience and connections with the School of Medicine, including a guaranteed interview during junior year. Other benefits include physician shadowing, specialized workshops and seminars, one-on-one advising and student-sponsored programming.
This rigorous, one-year master's degree mirrors the structure of the first year of medical school. Students are prepared for admission to medical, physician assistant, dental and nursing schools.
