One-Time Volunteer Opportunities

Saint Louis University’s Center for Social Action promotes many forms of community engagement, from episodic service to more in-depth involvement. This list of one-time volunteer opportunities will help SLU students, faculty or staff make a difference based on your schedule and interests. Many are perfect for groups!

Who: BJC Hospice
What: Volunteers are needed to make no-sew fleece blankets for our adult hospice patients. The only skills needed are the ability to cut fabric and tie knots. We will supply the fabric and scissors.

What: Volunteers are needed to help with our Helping Hands Volunteer Club, where volunteers with and without Down syndrome help put together mailings, make cards, create decorations for events, and much more!

What: Volunteers are needed to hang posters around town for our upcoming winter concert, (RE)Build, Feb. 27 - March 2. Anyone who participates will receive one free ticket to any of the performances during the (RE)Build winter concert weekend.

What: Volunteers are needed for our Family Dinner Program at Old North Academy, assisting with registration, family engagement, and some resource distribution.
