Senior Legacy Symposium

The Senior Legacy Symposium allows the Saint Louis University community — including faculty, administration, staff, students and alumni — to see the academic possibilities and contributions of SLU's graduating seniors.

The Senior Legacy Symposium offers undergraduate researchers an opportunity to present their work to the university community.

Each year, graduating students from academic units across the University present research and papers, perform creative works, and share internship and service-learning experiences. In doing so, they leave behind a major contribution to their field of study and to the University.

2026 Symposium

The 19th annual Senior Legacy Symposium will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in the Busch Student Center. A reception for all participants will follow from 5 to 6 p.m.

Each undergraduate department/program is invited to select up to three student projects for presentation at this year’s symposium. Invited students may submit a presentation in the following formats:

  1. A traditional poster presentation
  2. A creative presentation (with limited spots available)
  3. An individual oral presentation or
  4. An interdisciplinary research panel in which students share information about their projects and engage in dialogue with students from other fields.

Additional information about the proposal process will be shared with academic departments later in the fall semester. For examples of abstracts and projects from the 2025 Senior Legacy Symposium, please visit the Senior Legacy Symposium site.

Deadlines

Faculty representatives from each department and program will be contacted with instructions for nominating students for the Symposium. This site will be updated with deadlines later in the academic year.
